Well I've never written a news post on here before but I thought I would write one for the sheer hell of it, even though no one will probably reply...

Basically the past couple of years I've really cracked down on my music production, I finished my sound engineering and music production course last year and learnt a hell of a lot from it, I thought I knew quite a bit before that... I was wrong!

I've also switched from using Reason to FL Studio, I used to look down at FL Studio and thought it was just a really... inadequate (if that's the right word) program. But after hearing people like Koriigahn/Parathile a couple months ago on the AP, I thought, wow, maybe it is decent afterall. I got the demo, fiddled around and it's just superb so I got my holiday pay from work and brought it. I can get amazing sounds with such ease, granted I know what I'm doing with synths, effects and whatnot from my previous years of learning them, but still...

Well I've decided what direction I wanna go with my music, I was introduced to some really decent electro, house type music at pretty much the same sort of time I started messing with FL. I mean, I was always a fan of people like David Guetta, Fedde Le Grande all that club music, those deep basslines and catchy leads and sounds etc are just awesome to go out drinking to, but in Reason I could never quite get the right effect! Then I learnt of people like deadmau5 and sidney samson and stuff and it's just absolutely sick and it made me wanna explore the route again!!

I took my attempt at making my first real electro house styled song just over a week ago in FL, (I'd made little loops previously but never set out to make a whole song in that genre). And I literally loved every second of making it! Here's a link if ya wanna listen, reviews are really welcomed!!

Just writing the bass line and getting that 'womp/wap' sound if thats what you wanna call it, and mixing it up with synths, all the side chaining and compression, just fantastic fun and to me, really fun to listen to, makes me wanna get up and do stuff cause its just really pumping.

So yeah, look out for future releases by me as they will most likely be electro/house/progressive type stuff, and the odd ambient now and then, I still love to chill out to a bit of ambient music :)
